An absolute dream trip with beautiful impressions is ready for you. This tour offers you spectacular locations and impresses with its diversity and varied stops.

At the beginning you will explore Etosha National Park where wild African animals are waiting for you - with a little luck you will see the BIG 5! Continue to the Waterberg and the surrounding national park. Especially photo lovers will enjoy the picturesque scenery. After a short stop in the Erongo region you will drive to the Atlantic coast to Swakopmund. Colonial sights include the Swakopmund lighthouse and the pier, an old seawall. Next to the lighthouse, the Swakopmund Museum traces Namibian history. Your journey takes you via Solitaire with its rusting cars to the dunes of Sossusvlei. Sossusvlei is a beige salt-clay pan ("vlei") enclosed by Namib sand dunes in the Namib Desert. On to Goageb. The Naukluft massif offers a mountainous landscape with deep gorges crisscrossed by perennial streams that form crystal clear pools. Next stop Fish Canyon River. The Fish Canyon River is one of the most impressive natural wonders of Africa and is the second largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon and the longest river in Namibia. Ever heard of Namaqualand? One of the main attractions of Namaqualand is the annual desert flowering at the end of August/beginning of September: Provided the right temperatures and rainfall, the seemingly lifeless desert soil unfolds into millions of flowers within a few days. Over the imposing cedar mountains you drive down to Cape Town. Here you will discover and explore the "Mother City" for another 4 days before heading back home.

Days overview

You will be picked up by your tour guide at Windhoek airport and drive to the capital of Namibia, Windhoek. The rest of the day is free for you to arrive. Depending on the arrival time we will do a short city tour. Overnight + breakfast e.g. in 4* Villa Vista Guest House
Etosha National Park is unique within Africa. The main feature of the park is the salt pan. Despite this, there is an abundant wildlife population that congregates at waterholes, so animal sightings are guaranteed. Overnight + half board e.g. at Etosha Village Lodge
With a bit of luck we will see the "Big Five" here in Etosha Park as well as many other wild animals. Overnight + half board again at Etosha Village Lodge
Today we drive to the Waterberg Plateau. The Waterberg is a prominent table mountain in Namibia and towers over its surroundings by almost 200 meters. Today a national park has been established on and around the Waterberg plateau. Overnight stay + half board e.g. in the Waterberg Lodge
We make our way to the Erongo region. In the afternoon we reach our accommodation, which has a beautiful view. It is a good idea to join a guided sundowner walk. Afterwards we enjoy our dinner with a view of the illuminated waterhole. Especially in the evening, when it gets cooler, many animals gather at the waterhole. Overnight + half board e.g. in the Tented Luxury Chalet at Erongo Wilderness Lodge.
Today we will go to Swakopmund. Its sandy beaches are located on the Atlantic Ocean. The town was founded by German colonists in 1892. Colonial landmarks include the Swakopmund Lighthouse and the pier, an old seawall. Next to the lighthouse, the Swakopmund Museum traces Namibian history. Here, where the desert meets the Atlantic, we head for our beachfront accommodation. Overnight + breakfast e.g. in 4* Strand Hotel Swakopmund
Our journey now takes us via Solitaire with its rusty cars to the dunes of Sossusvlei. Sossusvlei is a beige salt-clay pan ("vlei") enclosed by Namib sand dunes in the Namib Desert. Excursion to the dunes. The surrounding orange dunes are among the highest in the world, with a difference in elevation of up to over 380 meters from the pan. The highest among them is Big Daddy, also called Crazy Dune. The orange color of the sand is caused by iron oxide. Overnight stay + half board e.g. at Desert Hills Lodge
We drive over the Naukluft Mountains to our next stop. The mountains get their name from a narrow gorge ('Nau-Kluft') in the east of the massif. The Naukluft massif offers a mountainous landscape with deep gorges crisscrossed by perennial streams that form crystal clear pools. Overnight + half board e.g. at the Old Limekiln Lodge
The Fish River Canyon is one of the impressive natural wonders of Africa and is the second largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon. The Fish River is the longest river in Namibia. We take a guided 4×4 drive of several hours through this breathtaking landscape on the second day. Overnight + half board e.g. at Fish River Lodge.
We leave Namibia and drive to South Africa today. Our first stop is in Namaqualand. One of the main attractions of Namaqualand is the annual desert flowering that takes place at the end of August/beginning of September: Provided the right temperatures and rainfall, within a few days the seemingly lifeless desert soil unfolds into a million-fold flowering splendor that covers large parts of Namaqualand, especially around the town of Springbok. Overnight + half board e.g. at Naries Namakwa Retreat
The mountains are also known for their colourful flowery carpets in spring (August/September) and the diverse vegetation of fynbos and succulent karoo as well as for caves with historic San rock paintings. Another special feature is the rooibos plant, which is grown almost exclusively in the Cederberg Mountains and from which the rooibos tea (redbush tea) is made. Overnight stay + half board e.g. at Mount Ceder
We travel along the west coast to Cape Town. After a stop at Bloubergstrand with a unique view of Table Mountain and the "Mother City" we head for your accommodation. In the following days you will experience Cape Town. We will be happy to create an individual Cape Town itinerary for you with all the "must sees" and great insider tips. Among other things, a wine tour to Stellenbosch, a hike on Table Mountain or sightseeing in the city can be undertaken. On the day of departure you will be taken by shuttle from your accommodation to the airport. It's time to say goodbye!

Hardly any other country on the African continent enjoys such increasing popularity as Namibia. It is no wonder, considering the average of 300 sunny days a year, coupled with the species-rich fauna and flora. In addition, there are cultural highlights, which are significantly influenced by the German colonial period. These include the Christ Church and the Ink Palace, the seat of government, in the friendly capital Windhoek, which has just 300,000 inhabitants. The preservation of the beautiful nature is exemplary driven by the government. Here, too, wild animals can be seen in incredible nature parks. Don't miss the trip to the Namib Desert (origin of the country's name). You should also try one of the many local beers - preferably at night and under the stars, when the Milky Way seems close enough to touch.
